It is so exciting to me that 100 people have come to read my blog in such a short period of time. To commemorate today’s post is 100 Things About Me
- I am a mom
- I have three kids
- I have two boys and a girl
- I am from the northeast (although that is not where I live)
- I miss my home state even though I hate it
- I love spending everyday with my kids
- I wish I saw my family more
- I love my mom
- She and I are very similar as people
- She and I could not be more different as moms
- I think she did a great job raising me
- My life changed the day my daughter was born
- My shortest labor: 90 minutes – baby #2
- My scariest labor: baby #2 – fast labors are not worth being jealous about
- My longest labor: 8 1/2 hours – baby #1
- I had all three kids within 35 months
- I was pregnant, nursing, or both for almost 5 years
- I am an only child
- I was so freaked out with pregnancy #2 about having to raise siblings
- I read half a dozen books about sibling relations
- I learned more by doing than I ever could have read
- My kids get along well
- I do not have a favorite child
- I have a preferred child and any given moment – generally the one who is not fighting, complaining, or needing something
- I home school
- I only agreed to homeschool because my oldest was so young that I figured I would have plenty of time to see if it worked for us before she was to start kindergarten
- My mom freaked out when she heard that my daughter was due on January 5
- I was hurt by her reaction – until I tried to plan a birthday party between Christmas and the New Year – Impossible
- I love to homeschool
- My kids are smarter than average
- I love to watch the light go on when they get a new concept
- I wanted to be a teacher when I was in school – but never even thought of becoming one because I knew I could not handle dumb, unmotivated, or disruptive children
- I think I will become obsessed with blogging
- I have been on the Internet since 1992
- I think that AOL was a scary place during the dawn of the internet (I think that now – 15 years ago I thought it was cool)
- I am glad that I know what kinds of things are out there
- I feel it makes me more prepared for when my kids are older
- My kids will never have a computer in their rooms
- I still know one of the first people I ever chatted with online
- I set an alarm for 30 minutes before I want to wake up because I love being able to fall back to sleep
- It has been six years since my little ones have let me get a full night’s sleep (something always happens)
- I can’t believe 100 people have visited my little blog in just 5 days.
- I used to be a day-trader. Actually, my husband and I did it together.
- I survived PPD.
- I am finding it really hard to come up with 100 things about myself that are even remotely interesting.
- I have had the same blanket on my bed since college.
- I was once a neuroscience major.
- I went to Catholic school.
- I loved wearing uniforms – easy and fast.
- I have learned more gymnastics terms this year than in the rest of my life put together.
- I love that my kids are interested in things totally outside my influence – clones are boring.
- I wish I dressed better.
- I wish I looked better.
- I wish I was 1/10 as cute as my kids.
- I have a calendar with a sticker for every day that I work out.
- There aren’t more than 5 stickers in any given week.
- I would rather be fit than thin – and I see it as more attainable.
- I love pepperoni pizza.
- My favorite pizza ever is from Rockos in NJ.
- I was soooooo disappointed when I returned after many years to find that it had closed.
- My favorite dessert is cheese cake with sprinkles.
- I love the smell of the Downey fabric softener with the green cap.
- I have no idea what it is called.
- My favorite movie of all time – Braveheart – what is better than Mel Gibson in a kilt??
- My favorite actor (to look at) is Val Kilmer.
- I have watched a lot of bad movies just to see him.
- I love going to the movies.
- I haven’t been to a movie in over a year.
- My main goal for this year is simply to get organized enough to complete a to-do list (just one would be fine)
- I love my children – but I miss my life before them too.
- I miss dating – it was much more fun than being in a relationship in a lot of ways.
- I am so glad that I was an early-twenties mother.
- I will never understand the joy in head-butting someone (maybe I will ask my sons when they are old enough to give and intelligent answer – if there is one)
- I think blogs with colors are more visually interesting then ones that are just in black.
- My favorite TV chef is Alton Brown.
- Second favorite is Rachael Ray – but her show makes me nuts sometimes.
- I love TiVo – I could kiss the guy who invented it.
- My TiVo was installed on 9/11.
- The guy hung around to watch the coverage.
- My dad was in the city that day.
- My dad always wanted a son – got two grandsons instead.
- I love to read historical fiction.
- I especially like stories of women who learn to cope in less than ideal marriages.
- I love LeapFrog they make the best toys.
- I love Fischer-Price because they will replace parts – even if it is the main part like to motor.

- They read to me to – but it makes me a little crazy sometimes.
- My mother hated to be read to by kids too.
- I believe in love at first sight and knights in shining armor.
- I believe that one should marry her best friend.
- I believe that my children are about to learn social skills without going to school.
- I hope my children only marry once and know true, unconditional love.
- I believe unconditional love is one of the greatest experiences imaginable.
- I think the desert sky is beautiful – especially at night.
- I don’t want to live to be 100.
- I want to meet my great-grandchildren.
- I can’t believe how fast I got to 100 hits.
- I imagine a big conference room like the ones cheesy seminars are held in and everyday more and more people arrive – some in pajamas, some in regular mommy (or daddy) clothes, some looking nice, and some naked (lol – just kidding – if you are reading my blog naked please don’t tell me).
- I am exercising my competitive nature by competing with my husband over who gets more hits – its pretty close.
- I truly love getting hits – I cheer for all of you.
